on June 15, 2007Ben!
I just accessed your site (had problems trying to access it yesterday.)
I just got started, but what I've seen so far is LOVELY!! WAY TO GO, BEN! (YEA!!!!)
I am especially impressed with THIS photo (organizing a large group such as this is frustrating; been there / done that. People are anxious to "move on" and can't see if they're blocking someone, not smiling, etc. The alignment if lovely.
My ONLY suggestion would be to line the groomsmen AND bridesmaids from tallest to shortest / tallest in center, shortest on the far ends.. If you notice the way it is now, everything is fairly symetrical, but the varying lengths of HEMS on the bridesmaids' dresses takes away from the symetrical alignment. IF you lined up the ladies from tallest bridesmaid to shortest (tallest towards the bride), their hem lenghts would fall in more of a proressive fashion. No one else will notice it; I notice those things from having shot weddings, functions, etc.
Other than that, it's WONDERFUL! AND you allowed for plenty of space on far ends, for potential cropping needs. Good job, Ben! I can't wait to see the others! When we talk next, I'm curious what camera body & lenses you're using. Do you use a regular UV filter? (I always use them; it's a great "lens protector", too!)
You are on a great roll. (Two weddings, Alaska Magazine, National GEO KIDS mag, etc.) KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Isn't photography exciting?! I absolutely LOVE it. You have a good "eye" for composition, "seeing" great images and capturing them on film (digital)
Thanks for sharing these images. I'm very proud of you, Ben.
Love,
Barbara Thomas
